Many of these notes are transcribed from the Harleian M.S. in the British Museum, having been written by Robert Saunderson in 1632 from deeds then in existence. He was Vicar of Boothby Pagnell and in 1660 was appointed Bishop of Lincoln, and was a noted Antiquarian. Another portion has been copied from Glover's "History of Derbyshire," and the remainder compiled from Parish Records, Marriage Licences, Wills, and private family documents.
